## Synopsis

Elite (2018-2024) is a Spanish teen drama and murder mystery created by Darío Madrona and Carlos Montero for Netflix. Three working class kids win places at Las Encinas, the most exclusive school in Spain, and the friction between them and the wealthy students who run the place drives the story. Marina Nunier (María Pedraza), a daughter of privilege, and Omar Shanaa (Omar Ayuso), a scholarship student, sit at the center of a tangle of romance, jealousy and loyalty, while Samuel García (Itzan Escamilla) and Christian Varela (Miguel Herrán) pull the plot toward class resentment and secrets. Each season is built around a fresh web of seduction, betrayal and a death that forces the students to lie to protect themselves. The show runs across eight seasons of eight episodes each, one continuing story rather than standalone cases, and its episodes move quickly, leaning on flashbacks to the school year and on interviews that hint at what happened. Its tone is glossy, sensual and melodramatic, with a sharp edge of class anger beneath the surface. Viewers who enjoy Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars and Riverdale will find the same mix of privileged teen angst and whodunit suspense here, delivered with a Spanish sensibility.
