## Synopsis

Captain Tsubasa (2018-2024) is a Japanese animated sports series created for TV Tokyo and its regional affiliates, produced by David Production and Studio KAI and adapted from the manga. Young Tsubasa Oozora (voiced by Yuko Sanpei) is an eleven-year-old whose every thought revolves around football, and when he moves with his mother to Nankatsu City, a town famous for its elementary school soccer teams, he finds himself among talent far beyond his old neighborhood. Genzou Wakabayashi (Kenichi Suzumura), Taro Misaki (Ayaka Fukuhara), and Ryo Ishizaki (Mutsumi Tamura) are among the teammates and rivals who shape his journey, with Kojirou Hyuga (Takuya Sato) bringing fierce competitive pressure to the pitch. The engine of the show is simple and driving: a young player's hunger to prove himself, with each episode built around matches, practice, and tournament battles where skill and determination decide the outcome. Across two seasons and ninety-one episodes, the series keeps a sincere, sports-driven pace that treats childhood ambition with real seriousness. Its tone is earnest and warm, carried by friendship and the thrill of competition. Fans of Haikyu!!, Inazuma Eleven and Ace of Diamond will find the same kind of youthful sports resonance here.
