## Synopsis

Live (2018) is a South Korean crime drama created by No Hee-Kyung for tvN, a single-season run of eighteen episodes. Han Jung-o (Jung Yu-mi) and Yeom Sang-soo (Lee Kwang-soo) are young patrol officers working the busiest police division in South Korea, where the workload is relentless and the reality is far from orderly. Their colleagues Oh Yang-chon (Bae Sung-woo) and Ki Han-sol (Sung Dong-il) carry the weight of long years on the beat, and their personal lives blur into their shifts. The engine of the series is the everyday grind of responding to calls, chasing suspects through crowded districts, and handling cases that touch on sexual violence, family breakdown and betrayal, while politics and superiors press down on ordinary cops. Each episode moves through a run of incidents while the officers' relationships tighten or fracture across the season. Tone shifts between sharp workplace banter and sober, serious moments when real crimes surface. The show offers a grounded look at policing in contemporary Seoul, with a mature register and a bittersweet, reflective finish. Fans of The Wire and Brooklyn Nine-Nine will find resonance in its institutional pressure and comic colleague chemistry, and viewers of Korean police dramas will feel at home in its blend of humor and grit.
