## Synopsis

Woman (2017-2020) is a Turkish national-television soap opera series created by Hande Altaylı and broadcast on FOX. Its protagonist Bahar, played by Özge Özpirinçci, was abandoned by her mother at eight and later loses her grandmother and her father, yet she carries the love and daily burdens of two children with stubborn devotion. Just when she feels entirely alone, she meets Sarp, played by Caner Cindoruk, and their tentative, delicate romance becomes the emotional spine of the story. Bennu Yıldırımlar and Seray Kaya appear as Hatice and Şirin Sarıkadı, with Ece Özdikici as Jale Demir rounding out the principal cast. The series runs across three seasons and 81 episodes of long-form, roughly two-hour installments, each built from family tensions, intimate confrontations, secrets within households, and the slow accumulation of loss and recovery. The tone is sorrowful yet warm, leaning into melodrama where tears and reconciliations arrive in equal measure. Its emotional register is tender and cathartic, with a central question of whether a wounded woman can trust love again. Viewers who enjoy Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?, Kara Sevda and Ugly Betty will find familiar resonance in its heartfelt family drama and devoted heroine.
