## Synopsis

Tales of Innocence (2018) is a Turkish national-television drama series created by Feride Kaytan and Barış Erçetin for Kanal D. Ayça Ayşin Turan plays Meryem, a naive young woman whose life is upended in the aftermath of an accident, leaving her torn between two forceful men: the unscrupulous prosecutor Savaş Sargun (Furkan Andıç) and the vindictive plaintiff Oktay Şahin (Cemal Toktaş). The engine of the series is her attempt to find her footing while legal maneuvering, family loyalties and a buried romantic history pull her in opposite directions. Each stretch of the story is built from courtroom confrontations, private confessions and shifting alliances, and the single 30-episode run unfolds as one continuing serialized arc. Set in contemporary Istanbul, it leans into the heightened emotional register of Turkish television, with melancholic, romantic and tense moods that foreground longing and moral compromise. Its tangled relationships and secrets recall the courtroom melodrama of Big Little Lies and the long romantic suffering of Kara Sevda, appealing to viewers who enjoy serialized romance laced with legal intrigue and moral ambiguity.
