## Synopsis

WCW Thunder (1998-2001) is an American professional wrestling television program created by Ted Turner and Eric Bischoff for TBS, produced under World Championship Wrestling. Rather than a scripted narrative, the show is a live sports entertainment broadcast in which wrestlers and announcers carry feuds from week to week. Veteran commentator Tony Schiavone appears across the entire run, with Eric Bischoff and performers such as Sting (Steve Borden) and Booker T (Booker Huffman, Jr.) appearing among the on-screen talent. Each two-hour episode is built from matches, promos, and backstage confrontations that escalate rivalries and set up future bouts. The series runs across four seasons and well over a hundred episodes, forming a continuous stream of storylines rather than discrete cases. Its tone is brash, theatrical, and high-energy, with competitive showmanship and a heavy dose of rivalry drama. Set in the late nineties wrestling boom, it sits in the vein of WWF Monday Night Raw and fans of wrestling promotion wars will find resonance in its rivalry-driven weekly format. Its raw, unpolished production captures the spectacle of that era.
