## Synopsis

The Torpedoes (2014-2017) is a Swedish crime comedy series created by Jakob Ström, Torkel Petersson and Anna Bjelkerud for TV4 and C More. Torkel Petersson stars as Sonny Jakobson, a man fresh out of prison who hopes to start over and move in with Camilla Nyrén (Liv Mjönes), a woman he met through a romantic connection while inside. His plan to build a normal life stalls when a last-minute bid on a house drags him back into the orbit of petty criminals and unfinished business. Leo Razzak plays Nima, and Jimmy Lindström plays Jonas Söder, among other principal figures whose schemes and loyalties keep pulling Sonny sideways. The show runs two seasons of six episodes each, with a compact episode runtime of about 45 minutes, and its engine is the gap between a fragile domestic dream and the criminal habits that refuse to let go. Each season mixes awkward romance, sharp situational humor and low-level crime into a grounded, brisk ensemble comedy set in contemporary Stockholm. The tone is wry, warm and slightly chaotic, with a bittersweet undercurrent about second chances. Fans of Better Call Saul, Fargo and Snatch will find resonance in its blend of crime and character comedy.
