## Synopsis

Something in the Rain (2018) is a South Korean romance drama created by Kim Eun for JTBC. Set in contemporary Seoul, the single-season series follows Yoon Jin Ah (Son Ye-jin), a coffee shop supervisor in her thirties, and Seo Joon Hee (Jung Hae-in), a video game designer who has just returned from working abroad. The engine of the story is their slow shift from polite acquaintances into a secret couple, while the age gap between them and the disapproval of relatives and the people around them press on every step. Across sixteen long episodes, the drama is built from everyday scenes at the coffee shop, lingering office conversations, and quiet family dinners, with the leads' chemistry carrying most of the weight. Supporting turns from Jang So-yeon and Eugene Jung add family and rival tension to the central pairing. The tone is warm, wistful and intimate, with a fuzzy, relatable sweetness that fans of Crash Landing on You and Autumn in My Heart will recognize, and viewers who enjoy grounded adult romance in the vein of Reply 1988 will find resonance in its mature, understated emotion. It is a one-season limited run of sixteen episodes that rewards patient viewing and a taste for slow-building romantic tension.
