## Synopsis

Ballmastrz: 9009 (2018-2023) is an American adult animated science fiction comedy created by Christy Karacas for Adult Swim. Set thousands of years in the future, it follows teams of Ballmastrz who face off using their own hyper-creative, artificially intelligent combat weapons to attack, defend and score. Voice cast includes Natasha Lyonne, Jessica DiCicco, Dana Snyder, Eric Bauza, Dave Willis and Christy Karacas. The engine is a chaotic futuristic sport in which each brisk twelve-minute episode escalates into absurd battles, improvised weapons and rapid-fire gags. Across two seasons and twenty-one self-contained episodes it stays a breezy comedy rather than a continuing saga. The tone is irreverent, surreal and playful, with an Adult Swim sensibility that revels in cartoonish mayhem and offbeat characters. Its emotional pull is light and giddy, rooted in camaraderie and competitive showmanship. Viewers who enjoy Futurama, Rick and Morty and Aqua Teen Hunger Force will find kindred sci-fi absurdity and adult animated irreverence here.
