## Synopsis

About Time (2018) is a South Korean romance drama series created by Choo Hye-mi and Kim Hyung-sik for tvN, a single season of sixteen one-hour episodes. Aspiring musical actress Choi Michaela (Lee Sung-kyung) has a supernatural ability to sense the time left in people's lives, and her world shifts when she meets the mysterious director Lee Do-Ha (Lee Sang-yun), who can halt that countdown and challenges her to pursue her dreams. Rowoon, Im Se-mi and Kim Dong-jun round out the principal cast in a love triangle complicated by an ex-girlfriend and the pull of old relationships. The engine of the story is the tension between seizing the present and the fear of running out of time, played out through rehearsal rooms, backstage auditions and ordinary Seoul apartments. Its tone is wistful and sincere, with a romantic, hopeful undercurrent that keeps returning to the idea of stopping time to savour a moment. Fans of tvN romance dramas and time-bending love stories such as Stranger in the Mirror and Fated to Love You will find resonance in its bittersweet, emotionally driven mix of music, destiny and youthful longing.
