## Synopsis

Lawless Lawyer (2018) is a South Korean legal thriller series created by Kim Jin-min for tvN, a Studio Dragon production. Lee Joon-gi stars as Bong Sang-Pil, a former gangster who becomes a lawyer driven by the desire to avenge his mother. Seo Yea-ji plays Ha Jae-Yi, and Choi Min-soo and Yeom Hye-ran appear among the principal cast. Bong's engine is a patient, deceptive campaign against powerful figures who sit above the law, pursued through courtroom maneuvering, careful schemes, and sudden physical confrontations when talk fails. Each stretch of the story combines procedural legal skirmishes with martial arts brawls, so the action and the legal tactics feed one another. The single sixteen-episode season is one continuing arc, not a case of the week, and it moves steadily toward its reckoning. Set in contemporary South Korea, the show's world is one of law firms, corrupt judges, and cozy backroom power. Its tone is intense and vengeful with flashes of romance and teamwork. Fans of Suits, Vincenzo, and Daredevil will find resonance in its mix of legal maneuvering and vigilante violence.
