## Synopsis

Wok of Love (2018) is a South Korean romance comedy drama series created for SBS, a single-season run of 38 episodes at roughly 35 minutes each. Junho stars as Seo Poong, a once-celebrated chef whose star has faded until he finds himself cooking in a small, struggling Chinese restaurant. Jang Hyuk plays Doo Chil-Seong, the building owner and former gang member who spent years in jail and now watches over the tenants with a gruff, protective streak. Jung Ryeo-won plays Dan Sae-Woo, whose presence stirs a romantic tangle that drives much of the story. Cha Joo-young and Tae Hang-ho round out a crowd of restaurant regulars and rivals whose everyday squabbles and shared meals keep the setting lively. Each episode is built from the rhythm of kitchen work, rising orders, small disputes and quiet moments over food, while the love triangle and the men's wary friendship slowly deepen. The tone is warm, light and comic, with a bittersweet undercurrent about ambition, second chances and the cost of pride. Set in contemporary urban Korea, the series is a comfort watch for fans of food-centered romance and character-driven workplace comedy. Viewers who enjoy Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and Full House will find similar warmth in its gentle humor and romantic pull.
