## Synopsis

La Prepago (2013) is a Colombian telenovela created by Carlos Duplat Sanjuan and Luz Mariela Santofimio for RCN. Lilo de la Vega plays Ana Lucia Barrera, who moves between two identities: a beautiful university student with a traditional family and a steady romance, and a high-class escort known as Andrea who is paid for companionship and to satisfy the sexual appetites of wealthy men. Andres Sandoval plays David Montero Echeverría, a man whose world brushes against her hidden life, while Julián Román, Natalia Durán and Diego León Hoyos fill out the circle of lovers, friends and family. The engine of the series is the constant danger of exposure: every new client, every lie told to a mother or a boyfriend, and every nightly transition between campus and luxury hotel tightens the knot. Across a single run of 61 episodes of about 44 minutes each, the story unfolds as one serialized melodrama in the classic telenovela manner, with cliffhangers, rival romances and family pressure. Its mood is sensual and soapy, shaded with guilt and anxiety, and fans of Betty la fea, Hung and Gossip Girl will find resonance in its mix of glossy adult romance and secret-life tension. Set in contemporary Colombia, it is a grounded, emotionally heated drama about the cost of living two lives at once.
