## Synopsis

Come and Hug Me (2018) is a South Korean crime mystery and melodrama series created by Lee Ah Ram for MBC. Detective Chae Do-Jin (Jang Ki-yong) is a police investigator whose work pulls him back toward Han Jae-Yi (Jin Ki-joo), a young actress tied to him by a first love and a devastating tragedy from their childhood. The engine of the series is a murder investigation that keeps circling back to what happened in their past, with each episode layering new evidence, suspects and recovered memories onto a case that touches both their lives. Across a single season of thirty-two episodes, the story alternates between police work, quiet romance and flashbacks, building a dense web of family secrets and buried guilt. Yoon Hee-Jae (Huh Joon-ho) and Yoon Hyun-Moo (Kim Kyung-nam) add pressure from the wider cast. The tone is melancholic and tense, with an intimate, emotionally heavy atmosphere that shifts between dread and longing. Set in contemporary South Korea, it is a self-contained limited run with a one-season arc. Fans of Mindhunter, Signal and Stranger will find resonance in its blend of serial killer investigation, childhood trauma and Korean melodrama.
