## Synopsis

Hijas de la luna (2018) is a Mexican telenovela created by Alejandro Pohlenz and Nicandro Díaz González for Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. Four young women, among them Juana Victoria Ramírez Nieto (Michelle Renaud) and Juana Soledad García (Jade Fraser), learn that they are sisters and begin digging into the family history they never knew. Their search for the truth pulls them toward tangled romances, including a bond with Sebastián Oropeza Ruiz (Danilo Carrera), and each discovery exposes betrayals and secrets buried for years. Each episode is built from confrontations, misunderstandings and emotional reversals, the classic engine of a soap opera. The story runs as a single 82-episode season, a sprawling melodrama with a warm, heightened emotional register. The series is a Latin American melodrama in the telenovela tradition, a close cousin of the Colombian original Las Juanas. Fans of Las Juanas, Rubí and La Usurpadora will find the same mix of romance, family intrigue and emotional excess. Its tone is passionate and sentimental, with melodrama turning every reunion and reveal into a major event for the characters.
