## Synopsis

DuckTales (1987-1990) is an American syndicated animated adventure series created for syndication as a family cartoon. Scrooge McDuck, the miserly, fortune-rich duck, finds his household upended when his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie move into his Duckburg mansion. Joined by the resourceful pilot Launchpad McQuack, the inventor Gyro Gearloose and the steady housekeeper Mrs. Beakley, Scrooge and his nephews chase lost treasures, ancient artifacts and rival schemes across the globe. The engine of each episode is a quest: a map, a rumor or a rival's theft sends the gang into jungles, deserts and sunken ruins, where gadgets, traps and clever escapes keep the stakes playful. Its voice cast includes Alan Young as Scrooge McDuck and Russi Taylor voicing the triplets. Across four seasons and about a hundred episodes, the series remains a standalone, episodic adventure rather than a single continuing story, so viewers can jump in anywhere. The tone is breezy, warm and comic, with a steady sense of family loyalty beneath the slapstick. Fans of Gravity Falls, Darkwing Duck and Adventure Time will find similar pleasures in its mix of mystery, gadgetry and cheerful peril.
