## Synopsis

Tuca & Bertie (2019-2022) is an American adult animated comedy created by Lisa Hanawalt for Adult Swim and Netflix. Free-spirited toucan Tuca (voiced by Tiffany Haddish) and self-doubting song thrush Bertie (voiced by Ali Wong) are best friends who lean on each other through career worries, romance, and the small disasters of daily life. Their apartment life is punctuated by eccentric neighbors and absurd side characters, including Speckle (Steven Yeun) and Pastry Pete (Reggie Watts). Over three seasons and thirty half-hour episodes, the show runs on a series of self-contained comic misadventures that still build a continuing emotional arc around the pair. The tone is surreal and irreverent, with a bright, sometimes bizarre visual palette that keeps the humor loose while the friendship stays sincere. Fans of BoJack Horseman, Big Mouth and Undone will find similar absurdist adult animation with a warm, offbeat heart. The series was canceled after its third season, leaving its story unfinished.
