## Synopsis

Gary and His Demons (2018-2022) is a Canadian-American adult animated comedy created by Mark Little and Mark Satterthwaite for Prime Video and VRV. Mark Little also voices its title character, Gary, a cantankerous, aging demon slayer who has grown weary of the chosen-one status thrust upon him. His reluctance drives the show: he would rather be left alone than save the planet, yet he is saddled with a team of younger specialists he cannot relate to, and every mission becomes a clash of temperaments and bad decisions. Surrounding him is a cast of eccentric voice actors, including Tim Gilbert as Little Boy, Miguel Rivas as the Shapeshifting Demon, and Marito Lopez as Marito, whose personalities keep the chaos rolling. Across two seasons of short episodes, the series trades in crude, deadpan humor and irreverent supernatural absurdity, with the apocalypse treated as a chore rather than a grand epic. Its tone is cynical, profane and loose, with a flippant warmth beneath the mockery of heroism. Fans of Rick and Morty, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Hazbin Hotel will find resonance in its jaded humor and anarchic animation. The run ended in cancellation, leaving the story unfinished.
