## Synopsis

Magnum P.I. (2018-2024) is an American action-drama reboot of the classic 1980s private eye series, created by Peter M. Lenkov and Eric Guggenheim and aired on CBS. Jay Hernandez plays Thomas Magnum, a decorated former Navy SEAL home from Afghanistan who takes the private investigation jobs no one else will in Hawaii. He is joined by fellow veterans T.C. Calvin (Stephen Hill) and Rick Wright (Zachary Knighton), along with former MI6 agent Juliet Higgins (Perdita Weeks), who brings sharp intelligence to the team. Each episode is built around a case of the week, from missing persons to dangerous schemes, with the crew using military precision, improvised tactics and quick wit to get results. Tim Kang as Gordon Katsumoto and Amy Hill as Teuila Tuileta add warmth and local grounding. The show runs five seasons and ninety-six episodes in a sleek, sun-drenched style, mixing witty banter with back-to-back action and a steady current of social commentary. Its tone is breezy and brisk, with an emotional undercurrent about veterans adjusting to civilian life. Fans of Magnum, P.I. (1980), Hawaii Five-0 and Bosch will find familiar pleasures here, including island scenery, procedural puzzles and a close-knit ensemble.
