## Synopsis

Charmed (2018-2022) is an American supernatural drama series created by Jennie Snyder Urman, Amy Rardin and Jessica O'Toole for The CW. Set in the fictional college town of Hilltowne, it follows sisters Macy Vaughn (Madeleine Mantock), Mel Vera (Melonie Díaz) and Maggie Vera (Sarah Jeffery) after the sudden death of their mother. The sisters discover they are three of the most powerful witches of all time, and the engine of the show is their struggle to balance ordinary campus and family life against magical threats and the responsibilities that come with their inherited power. Harry Greenwood (Rupert Evans) and Jordan Chase (Jordan Donica) add tension and complication to their world. Each episode is a self-contained magical case built around the sisters' bond, while a broader arc runs across four seasons. The series is a teen drama with supernatural fantasy elements, a reboot of the 1998 original, and its tone is earnest, bright and sometimes melodramatic, with an emphasis on loyalty and sisterhood. Fans of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Legacies will find resonance in its blend of witchcraft, family loyalty and campus-age drama. The series was canceled after four seasons, and its story ends without fully resolving its larger mythology.
