## Synopsis

Hunters (2020-2023) is an American drama series created by David Weil for Prime Video, a two-season pulpy genre mashup built on a bloody revenge fantasy. Set in 1977 New York City, the story follows Jonah Heidelbaum (Logan Lerman), a young man recruited into a diverse band of Nazi hunters led by Meyer Offerman (Al Pacino). Their engine is a hidden conspiracy: hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are living among ordinary Americans and quietly working toward a Fourth Reich in the United States. Each episode pushes the team through dangerous pursuits, gritty confrontations and risky schemes against former war criminals, with Lena Olin and Carol Kane adding weight to the ensemble. Across eighteen episodes in two seasons, the show shifts between grim historical horror and stylized action, with a loud, irreverent surface over a serious Holocaust backdrop. Fans of Inglourious Basterds, The Boys and Band of Brothers will find resonance in its blend of vengeance, dark humor and wartime memory, though its tonal swings and uneven pacing divide viewers. The result is a violent, provocative genre experiment about justice, memory and the persistence of fascism.
