Audiences find an intriguing time-displacement mystery with strong early episodes that loses momentum through repetitive relationship drama and a sprawling later run.

## Synopsis

Manifest (2018-2023) is an American network sci-fi mystery drama created by Jeff Rake for NBC, later continued on Netflix, running four seasons and 62 episodes. Montego Air Flight 828 lands after a turbulent but routine flight, and its passengers discover that five years have slipped by in what felt like a few hours. Michaela Stone (Melissa Roxburgh) and Ben Stone (Josh Dallas) anchor the family at the heart of the story, with Jared Vasquez (J.R. Ramirez) and Saanvi Bahl (Parveen Kaur) among the principal figures caught in the upheaval. Each episode weaves present-day struggles of reconnecting with loved ones who have moved on, with a deepening puzzle about why the passengers returned and what they might be meant to do. The engine is the tension between personal longing and a larger, unsettling purpose, with relationships fractured and communities pulling at the travelers. Set in contemporary New York City, the series carries a melancholic, mystery-driven tone with moments of hope and family warmth. Viewers who enjoy the lost time puzzles of Lost, the grief-tinged strangeness of The Leftovers, or the time-looping intrigue of Dark will find much to chew on across its serialized arc.
