## Synopsis

La hija del Mariachi (2006-2018) is a Colombian telenovela created for RCN and Telemundo, a single-season romantic soap opera running 149 episodes of one hour each. Wealthy Mexican businessman Emiliano, betrayed by friends and partners and wanted by police in two countries as well as by a criminal organization, goes into hiding in Bogotá under a new name and personality. He joins a mariachi band and finds love with singer Rosario, played by Carolina Ramírez, who does not know where he came from. Mark Tacher plays Emiliano, and the cast also includes Alejandra Borrero as Rosario's mother Raquel and Diana Ángel as the rival Leticia. The engine of the show is the constant fear that his buried past will tear the couple apart, while he works to clear his name and settle his case. Each episode is built from romantic rivalries, family tensions, and band performances that keep the couple's bond tested. The tone is melodramatic and sentimental, warm and heartfelt, with music at its center. Fans of Yo soy Betty, la fea and Pasión de gavilanes will find resonance in its blend of romance, deception, and Latin American soap opera excess.
