## Synopsis

Oh! My Emperor (2018) is a Chinese web series created for Tencent Video, a costume fantasy romance with comedic bite. Luo Feifei (Zhao Lusi), a young woman from the 21st century, is suddenly transported into the mysterious ancient nation of Huang Dao, where leadership passes among the twelve constellation owners every thousand years. She finds herself entangled with the current emperor Beitang Yi (Jason Koo), who also holds the Capricorn constellation, and with other members of the imperial family including Beitang Moran (Xiao Zhan). Her engine is simple and funny: she wants to get home while the court's rules, rivalries and romantic entanglements keep pulling her deeper in. Each episode is built around palace misunderstandings, mistaken identities and light intrigue. The series runs two seasons across forty-two episodes of roughly twenty-five minutes each. Its tone is playful and breezy, with romance at the center and a warm, sometimes teasing comic register. Fans of Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Mr. Sunshine will find a similar blend of time travel, palace drama and sweet romance.
