## Synopsis

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists (2019) is a American young adult mystery series created by I. Marlene King for Freeform, a spin off of the Pretty Little Liars franchise. Set in the fictional college town of Beacon Heights, the story follows three overachieving college friends, including Ava Jalali (Sofia Carson), Mona Vanderwaal (Janel Parrish), and Caitlin Park-Lewis (Sydney Park), who are pushed to their limits by academic and social pressure. When the town experiences its first murder, each of them begins hiding a private secret, a lie, and an alibi, and the group's carefully polished images begin to crack. Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) and Dylan Walker (Eli Brown) connect the friends to the wider web of deception. The ten-episode single season unfolds as a serialized whodunit, with each episode tightening suspicion among the characters and layering new red herrings onto the investigation. The tone is glossy yet tense, mixing teen soap melodrama with a steady current of mystery and paranoia. Fans of Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl, and Riverdale will find resonance in its blend of polished suburban facades, rivalries, and hidden guilt. The series was canceled after its single season, leaving its central murder mystery unresolved.
