## Synopsis

Don't Let Go of My Hand (2018-2019) is a Turkish family melodrama and romance series created by Nilüfer Özçelik and Volkan Yazıcı, aired on TRT 1 across two seasons and 59 episodes of long-form two-hour installments. Aspiring cook Azra Güneş (Alina Boz) is studying abroad in America to follow her father into professional kitchens when she accidentally swaps luggage with Cenk Çelen (Alp Navruz), a grandson of the wealthy Feride Çelen (Seray Gözler), whom he meets on the plane. Cenk, expelled from his American university and adrift about his future, is pulled into the emotional turmoil that follows when Azra's father dies in a fire and leaves her to care for his autistic son under the watch of a grasping stepmother, Sumru Güneş (Dolunay Soysert). The engine of the show is a steady accumulation of family rivalries, inheritance pressures and class-divided households, with each episode built from confrontations, secrets and tender moments between the two leads. The tone is melodramatic and emotionally heightened, sincere and sweeping, with a warm, romantic pull. Fans of Kara Sevda and Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? will find resonance in its blend of Turkish television melodrama, sprawling households and a love story that crosses social lines.
