## Synopsis

Larva (2011-present) is a South Korean animated kids comedy series created for KBS1 and produced by TUBAn. Two curious worms, Yellow and Red, live in a subterranean world and spend their days investigating the otherworldly objects that tumble through the grate above them. The engine of each short episode is simple: an unfamiliar object lands in their tunnels, and the pair pokes, prods, and misuses it until slapstick chaos follows. Other larvae join the scrambles, and the voice cast includes Hong Bum-ki, Ahn Hyo-min, and Kang Shi-hyun. Running about eight minutes per episode across five seasons and roughly 338 episodes, the show is an episodic, self-contained format rather than a continuing plot, so viewers can dip in at any point. Its 3D animation is bright and playful, with a cozy, lighthearted mood that suits very young children and the adults watching alongside them. The tone is gentle, wordless, and whimsical, owing much to the physical comedy of Pingu and the playful miniature worlds of Timmy Time. Fans of Pororo the Little Penguin will find similar warmth in its simple, friendly gags.
