## Synopsis

Erkenci Kuş (2018-2019) is a Turkish romance drama series created for Star TV, a single-season run of 51 two-hour episodes that plays like a television soap with a comedic streak. Demet Özdemir plays Sanem Aydın, a dreamy young woman with hopes of becoming a famous writer, who takes a job at an advertising agency to avoid an arranged marriage. There she collides with her boss, Can Divit, played by Can Yaman, and the two are pulled into a whirlwind of attraction, rivalry and complication. Birand Tunca as Emre Divit, Öznur Serçeler as Leyla Aydın and Ceren Taşçı as Ayhan Işık round out a cast whose family and office entanglements keep the central romance in motion. Each episode is built from workplace friction, misunderstandings, family pressure and the constant question of whether Sanem can protect her heart while chasing her dreams. The mood is breezy and sentimental, with lush romantic melodrama and playful banter. Fans of Gossip Girl and The Devil Wears Prada will find resonance in its glamorous workplace setting and its mix of ambition and romance, and viewers who enjoy Turkish drama will recognize its soapy rhythms.
