## Synopsis

Ghoul (2018) is a Netflix original Indian supernatural horror thriller created by Patrick Graham, produced with Blumhouse Television and Phantom Films. Its three-episode run follows Nida Rahim (Radhika Apte), a newly minted military interrogator posted to a covert detention center where terrorists and political prisoners are held. Her job is to extract information, but the detainees begin to show signs of something not of this world, and she must navigate her superiors, including Captain Lamba (Rohit Pathak), and the unsettling presence of Sunil Dacunha (Manav Kaul). Each episode builds through tense interrogation rooms, bureaucratic pressure and escalating dread, with the threat growing from the prison walls outward. The atmosphere is claustrophobic, bleak and paranoid, with the horror entangled in questions of state power, nationalism and the cost of loyalty. The tone shifts between procedural realism and creeping supernatural unease. Fans of Sacred Games, Fauda and Stranger Things will find resonance in its blend of political thriller tension and dark, eerie genre storytelling. Its short, self-contained arc makes it a compact, intense watch that rewards full attention.
