## Synopsis

Sex Education is a British teen comedy-drama created by Laurie Nunn for Netflix. Socially awkward high schooler Otis Milburn has absorbed a great deal about intimacy from his mother, a frank sex therapist, though he struggles with his own desire and nerves. When rebellious classmate Maeve Wiley spots an opening, the two secretly launch a sex advice clinic in the school bathrooms, charging fellow students for help with awkward first kisses, performance worries and heartbreak. Each episode brings a new client and a new problem, while every confession threatens to expose the pair to a school full of rivals. An ensemble of classmates carries their own romantic and identity storylines, giving the series wide emotional range. Set in a fictional English town at a contemporary secondary school, the show moves between candid sex comedy and tender coming-of-age drama. Its warm, funny and often raw tone makes it a sincere, rewatchable portrait of adolescent bodies, feelings and friendships.
