## Synopsis

A Million Little Things (2018-2023) is an American network drama created by D.J. Nash for ABC. Set in present-day Boston, the ensemble follows a close circle of friends who feel stuck in their lives until one of them dies by suicide, a loss that forces the rest to reexamine their marriages, careers and parenting. Eddie Saville (David Giuntoli) carries much of the emotional weight as he tries to hold the group together, while Rome Howard (Romany Malco), Gary Mendez (James Roday Rodriguez), Maggie Bloom (Allison Miller) and Katherine Saville (Grace Park) work through their own tangled relationships. The engine of the series is the slow, messy process of grief: friends stumble through affairs, unpaid bills, custody battles and old resentments, and each episode leans on flashbacks that reveal how the group came together. Running five seasons and 87 episodes, it is one continuing serialized story rather than a case-of-the-week format. Its tone is earnest and melodramatic, with sincere declarations of love, sudden tears and warm group scenes that aim for comfort even when the material turns harrowing. Fans of This Is Us and Friends will find resonance in its ensemble warmth and emotional sincerity.
