## Synopsis

Hackerville (2018) is a Romanian television crime thriller series created by Jörg Winger and broadcast on HBO Europe and TNT Serie. Across a single six-episode season of roughly fifty-five minutes each, an investigator, played by Anna Schumacher as Lisa Metz, teams with local Romanian authorities and an elite hacker to track the suspects behind a cyber attack on a German bank. Voicu Dumitraș plays Cipi Matei, and Ada Lupu plays Nicoleta Danciu, with Andi Vasluianu, Sabin Tambrea, and Călin Chirilă rounding out the principal cast. The engine of the story is a race across borders, where screens, networks, and fragile alliances matter as much as physical evidence, and each episode tightens the net around the people responsible. The series is a compact, tense, procedural-leaning serial with a contemporary look at digital crime. Its atmosphere is gritty and focused, with moral friction between institutional caution and improvised hacking. Fans of The Bridge and Mr. Robot will find resonance in its cross-border investigation and cyber-minded suspense, and viewers who enjoy tightly plotted European crime television will find it a satisfying single-season watch.
