## Synopsis

This glossy neo-noir miniseries is set in the affluent Bay Area of the 2010s, where ambition, wealth, and status shape every decision. It follows a couple whose comfortable life begins to crack under financial pressure and mounting secrets. The tone is tense and sardonic, with a bleak undercurrent that deepens as moral lines blur. Each episode tightens the grip of its central dilemma, asking how far people will go to protect what they have and what they believe about themselves. The atmosphere leans on sleek interiors, neon-lit nights, and a sense that privilege offers little real safety. Viewers drawn to character-driven thrillers will find a story that rewards close attention to small lies and shifting loyalties. The show balances suspense with a sharp critique of American capitalism and the quiet costs of success. Its emotional core is unsettling rather than comforting, leaving a lingering sense of unease about the price of ambition and the fragility of intimate partnerships.
