## Synopsis

Signs (2018-2020) is a Polish crime mystery series created by Tyler Harding for AXN. Helena Englert plays Agata Paszke and Piotr Trojan plays Emil Sobczyk, investigators drawn into a case when a young woman's murder mirrors a decade-old unsolved crime in an isolated mountain town. Andrzej Konopka's Michał Trela and Magdalena Żak's Nina Trela add layers to the local web of loyalty and grievance. The engine of the show is the slow excavation of a community that would rather keep its secrets, with each episode peeling back another suspect, alibi, or family silence. Across two seasons of eight episodes each, it moves as one continuing investigation rather than a case of the week, building a sense of dread through rain-soaked forests, wary townsfolk, and bureaucratic friction. The tone is brooding, austere and melancholic, with a deliberate pace that rewards patient viewers. Fans of Twin Peaks, Broadchurch and The Killing will find resonance in its small town dread, its layered cold case puzzle, and its atmosphere of quiet unease.
