## Synopsis

Player (2018-present) is a South Korean crime drama series created for OCN and tvN, a Studio Dragon production that blends caper energy with a cat and mouse struggle against corruption. Kang Ha-Ri (Song Seung-heon) leads an elite team of four talented individuals, each skilled in a different field, who turn their expertise toward swindling and deception while covertly helping a prosecutor expose crime. Cha A-Ryeong (Krystal Jung) and Cha Je-yi (Jang Gyu-ri) anchor the group's shifting alliances, and Investigator Maeng (Ahn Se-ho) represents the official world the team must work around. Each episode tends to build a scheme against a wealthy or powerful wrongdoer, with planning, reversals, and sharp confrontations driving the action. The team's revenge motives give the story a cold edge beneath its playful surface. The show runs for two seasons across twenty-six episodes, with the first season rated more highly by audiences than the second. Fans of Leverage, Hustle and Vagabond will find resonance in its clever ensemble, moral grayness and appetite for justice delivered through trickery. Its tone is quirky, brisk and sometimes brutal, mixing witty banter with tense standoffs and villains who earn their comeuppance.
