## Synopsis

Whiskey Cavalier (2019) is a American network spy comedy-drama created by David Hemingson for ABC. Tough but tender FBI super-agent Will Chase (Scott Foley), codenamed Whiskey Cavalier, is paired with badass CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Lauren Cohan), codenamed Fiery Tribune, and the two are placed in charge of an inter-agency team of flawed, funny and heroic spies. Their engine is simple and effective: the team must periodically save the world, and often each other, while the rival agencies and the bureaucracy above them make every mission harder. Each episode pairs a contained operation with the slower work of friendship, romance and office politics, so the banter between the leads carries as much weight as the gunplay. Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams and Vir Das round out the principal cast as members of the team, and Josh Hopkins appears in a supporting role. The single season of thirteen episodes is a serialized romantic spy romp set in present day American intelligence, with a light, breezy tone that mixes action with warmth. Viewers who enjoy the playful spy banter of Chuck, the sharp partnership dynamics of Burn Notice, and the glamorous espionage of Alias will find a similar pleasure here. The show is cheerful, fast and easy to watch, and its mix of humor and heart gives it a distinctive charm.
