## Synopsis

The Order (2019-2020) is an American supernatural drama series created by Shelley Eriksen and Dennis Heaton for Netflix. Across two seasons and twenty episodes, a college student pledges a secret order to avenge his mother's death and finds himself caught in a hidden war between werewolves and practitioners of dark magic. Jake Manley plays Jack Morton, the student at the center of the story, alongside Sarah Grey as Alyssa Drake and Devery Jacobs as Lilith Bathory, with Katharine Isabelle as Vera Stone among the principal cast. The engine of the series is Jack's need for vengeance pulling against the secrecy, loyalty tests and rival factions of the brotherhood, so each episode mixes campus life with ritual, clandestine meetings and escalating supernatural danger. It is a serialized, continuing story rather than a case of the week, and its tone is dark and brooding, with teen drama romance and heavy occult atmosphere. Set in contemporary American college towns, it suits viewers who enjoy the mythology of Teen Wolf, the campus sorcery of The Magicians and the witchcraft of Charmed. The series was canceled after its second season, leaving its central conflict unresolved.
