## Synopsis

Ace of Cakes (2006-2011) is an American reality series created for Food Network, following the daily work of Duff Goldman at Charm City Cakes, his custom cake shop in Baltimore, Maryland. Goldman, the central figure and cast member, juggles the practical demands of running a small business, including working with vendors, tasting cake flavors with customers, constructing elaborate sculpted cakes, and delivering finished pieces across town. The engine of each episode is a commission: a client wants something unusual, the timeline is tight, and the crew has to solve structural and design problems in the shop's kitchen. Over ten seasons and 116 episodes, the show moves at the pace of real orders, with each installment built around a handful of projects rather than a single continuing storyline. The tone is upbeat, playful, and hands-on, with a focus on craft, enthusiasm, and the satisfaction of seeing an ambitious idea rise into edible form. Its setting is a working Baltimore bakery in the mid to late 2000s. Fans of Cake Boss, Chopped and Kitchen Nightmares will find resonance in its blend of food craftsmanship and small business drama.
