## Synopsis

SKAM España (2018-2020) is a Spanish teen drama series created by Julie Andem for Movistar Plus. Following a group of 16-year-olds in a Spanish high school, the show tracks their daily lives in near real time, with conversations unfolding through group chats, texts and social media posts alongside face to face scenes. Amira Naybet (Hajar Brown) and Nicole Wallace (Nicole Wallace) anchor the ensemble, with Irene Ferreiro as Cris Soto and Alba Planas as Eva Vázquez, while Celia Monedero plays Viri Gómez. Each of the four seasons spotlights a different character, so the story keeps shifting its focus as the friends push against their families, religion and their own uncertainty about sex, love and belonging. The engine is the constant need to fit in, to be honest about who you are, and to survive the ruptures of first relationships and friendships. Each season runs as one continuing arc across roughly ten episodes of thirty minutes, giving it the feel of a diary of adolescence. Adapted from the Norwegian format of the same name, it is an intimate, emotional and sometimes painful drama. Fans of Skam, Heartstopper and Euphoria will find resonance in its frank, tender portrait of teenage life.
