## Synopsis

Unauthorized Living (2018-2020) is a Spanish crime drama series created by Aitor Gabilondo for Telecinco. Jose Coronado plays Nemesio 'Nemo' Bandeira, a Galician shipper and drug lord who hides his Alzheimer's disease while he plans to step away from his trafficking empire. Alex Gonzalez plays Mario Mendoza, the second-in-command who schemes to take the empire from the heir, with Claudia Traisac as Lara Balares among the principal players. The engine of the story is a power struggle in which an aging kingpin must protect his secret and his legacy while rivals and loyalists maneuver around him. Across two seasons and twenty-three episodes of roughly eighty minutes each, the drama unfolds as one continuing serialized story, with shipments, betrayals and shifting alliances driving each chapter. The tone is tense and morally heavy, with a melancholic undercurrent around memory loss and aging. Set in Galicia and the wider drug trade, the series carries the grit of a Mediterranean narco saga. Fans of Breaking Bad, Narcos and Peaky Blinders will find resonance in its portrait of criminal dynasties and the cost of ambition.
