## Synopsis

Perpetual Grace LTD (2019) is an American crime drama series created by Steven Conrad and Bruce Terris for Epix. Disgraced former firefighter James Schaeler (Jimmi Simpson) has fallen into grifting and sees a chance to claw back his crumbling life by preying on Pastor Byron Brown (Ben Kingsley), a silver-tongued preacher whose congregation and family orbit him with devotion. James works the mark with a schemer's patience, but the pastor proves far more dangerous than he appears, and the con starts to turn on its user. Supporting turns from Luis Guzmán as Hector Contreras, Damon Herriman as Paul Allen Brown, and Jacki Weaver as Lillian Brown fill out the family and criminal circles around the pastor. The single ten-episode season plays as a neo-noir with a tense, morally tangled atmosphere, shifting between dark humor, dread, and quiet reflection. Its unhurried, carefully composed scenes and warm-filtered cinematography give it a distinct look. Fans of Breaking Bad, The Night Of, and Hustle will find resonance in its grifter tension and bleak, ironic tone.
