## Synopsis

IRODUKU: The World in Colors (2018) is a Japanese animated slice of life series created for MBS and BS-TBS, produced by P.A.WORKS. Set in Nagasaki, it follows Hitomi Tsukishiro, a 17-year-old descendant of a witch family who has lost her sense of color and grown emotionally flat. Her grandmother sends her back to the year 2018, where she meets her 17-year-old grandmother's high school circle. The engine of the show is simple and personal: Hitomi navigates classroom life, friendships, and creative projects in painting and photography while trying to understand the past and the feelings she has lost. Each episode is a gentle, self-contained stretch of school days built around art club activities and small social moments. The thirteen-episode single season is a quiet, reflective coming of age story with a hopeful, wistful atmosphere. Its warm, sincere register suits viewers who enjoyed the emotional coming of age of Anohana, the time travel tenderness of Your Name, or the creative school life of Hibike! Euphonium.
