## Synopsis

8 Days (2019) is a German apocalyptic drama series created by Rafael Parente, Peter Kocyla and Benjamin Seiler for Sky One, produced by Sky Deutschland. Across a single eight-episode season of roughly forty-five minutes each, the story follows the Steiner family, with Christiane Paul as Susanne Steiner and Mark Waschke as Uli Steiner, as a huge asteroid speeds toward Europe and only eight days remain before impact. Lena Klenke plays their daughter Leonie, and the wider cast includes Luisa-Céline Gaffron, Devid Striesow and Murathan Muslu, whose characters are drawn into the same spiraling crisis. The engine of the show is simple and relentless: each day ticks closer to catastrophe while laws and social rules quietly dissolve, pushing ordinary people to ask who they can trust and what truly matters. Every episode is built around concrete pressures on a household, from supplies and safety to loyalties tested by fear. Tone is tense, emotional and bleak, with moments of sincere family warmth cutting against a rising sense of dread. Fans of Deep Impact, Impact and The Leftovers will find resonance in its blend of disaster spectacle and intimate moral reckoning.
