## Synopsis

Zombie Land Saga (2018-2021) is a Japanese animated comedy series created for AT-X, produced by MAPPA with avex pictures and Cygames, and blends slice of life absurdity with horror. Seven girls who once lived ordinary lives are thrust into a world overrun by the living dead, and the engine of the show is their shared determination to stay alive while pursuing a miracle through idol training, dance rehearsals and concert stages. Voice actors Mamoru Miyano as Kotaro Tatsumi, Kaede Hondo as Sakura Minamoto and Asami Tano as Saki Nikaidou anchor a cast whose members each carry a distinct personality and past. Across two seasons totaling twenty-four episodes, the story moves from first shaky performances into a time skip that reshapes the group's ambitions. Each episode mixes gleeful musical numbers, parody of idol culture and sudden flashes of gore and dread. Its tone swings between cheerful and grim, carried by earnest sincerity and absurd humor. Fans of Love Live! School Idol Project, Gintama and Shinsekai yori will find resonance in its blend of idol performance, ensemble comedy and dark genre play. The show suits viewers who enjoy strange genre mashups with a warm, hopeful center.
