## Synopsis

Mocro Maffia (2018-2024) is a Dutch crime drama series created by Achmed Akkabi and Thijs Römer for Videoland. Following best friends Romano (Mandela Wee Wee), Potlood (Nasrdin Dchar) and De Paus (Achmed Akkabi), the story traces three ambitious young men climbing the ranks of the Amsterdam underworld until they control the city's entire cocaine market. Their engine is the rush of power and the constant pressure of rival gangs, police and betrayal, while jealousy slowly corrodes the loyalty that first bound them together. Across six seasons and forty-five episodes, the show unfolds as one continuing serialized saga, with each season escalating the stakes in the drug trade. Rinus Tatta Massing (Robert de Hoog) and Rein de Waard (Daan Schuurmans) add pressure from the other side of the law, while Chaouki Potlood Chadli (Nasrdin Dchar) and Younes Taxi Al Saddiqi (Iliass Ojja) anchor the criminal network. The tone is gritty, tense and bleak, with violence and moral compromise in the foreground. Fans of Narcos, Gomorrah and Power will find resonance in its portrait of drug empires and fractured brotherhood set in a modern Dutch city.
