## Synopsis

From Today, It's My Turn!! (2018) is a Japanese live action comedy miniseries created by Hiroyuki Nishimori for Nippon TV, adapted from his manga. Kento Kaku plays Takashi Mitsuhashi and Kentaro Ito plays Shinji Itō, two unpopular transfer students who decide that a fresh start at a new high school is their chance to reinvent themselves as delinquents. Supporting roles go to Nana Seino as Riko Akasaka and Kanna Hashimoto as Kyoko Hayakawa, with Taiga Nakano as Katsutoshi Imai rounding out the principal cast. The engine of the show is their ambition to become the greatest delinquents in all Japan, pursued through a run of escalating misadventures, rival gangs, staged brawls and comic misunderstandings. Told across a single ten-episode season of roughly fifty-five minutes each, it plays as a self-contained comic arc rather than a long saga. The setting is a contemporary Japanese high school. The tone is brash, goofy and warmly affectionate, with a loyal buddy bond at its center beneath the swagger. Fans of Gokusen and Gintama will find resonance in its mix of delinquent posturing, slapstick rivalry and friendship.
