## Synopsis

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War (2019-2022) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series created from a seinen manga and produced by A-1 Pictures, spanning three seasons and 37 episodes. Student council president Miyuki Shirogane and vice president Kaguya Shinomiya, both top-ranked geniuses at the elite Shuchiin Academy, are secretly in love but refuse to admit it, so each launches elaborate psychological schemes to force the other into a confession. Voiced by Makoto Furukawa and Aoi Koga, the leads anchor a supporting cast including Konomi Kohara as Chika Fujiwara and Yumiri Hanamori as Ai Hayasaka, whose meddling and friendships fuel the escalating rivalry. Each episode is built around a new clever gambit, inner monologues dramatized into extravagant visual set pieces, and the small humiliations of pride. Set in a contemporary Japanese high school, the series blends sharp wit with genuine warmth and cringe comedy. Fans of Horimiya, Nisekoi and the cringe-driven banter of The Office will find resonance in its rivalry-driven romance and comic escalation, a lively, breezy and affectionate ride for viewers who enjoy clever romantic gamesmanship.
