## Synopsis

Cursed (2020) is a British fantasy series created by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler for Netflix. Teenager Nimue (Katherine Langford) joins forces with mercenary Arthur (Devon Terrell) on a quest to track down the wizard Merlin (Gustaf Skarsgård) and deliver an ancient sword. Their journey pulls them through a harsh medieval landscape where rival factions, religious zealots and a ruthless king stand in their way, and each episode moves them closer to the sword's secrets while raising the cost of every choice. The series runs for a single season of ten hour-long episodes and was canceled before its story could conclude. Set in a mythic version of Britain, it blends brutal action with a teen-driven coming-of-age tension and a dark, mythic atmosphere. Its tone is gritty and propulsive, with moments of mournful melancholy. Fans of The Witcher and Merlin will find resonance in its reworking of legend, its swordplay and its moral ambiguity. The show rewards viewers who enjoy sword and sorcery adventures grounded in folklore rather than polished myth.
