## Synopsis

Wild District (2018-2019) is a Colombian crime drama series created by Cristian Conti and broadcast on Netflix. Juan Pablo Raba plays Jhon Jeiver, an ex-guerrilla who surrenders to police in Bogota and is pressed into working undercover to avoid prison. His mission is to expose a ruthless enforcer of government corruption, and each episode builds on the risky stings, shifting alliances and dangerous contacts that come with living a double life. Cristina Umana plays Daniela Leon, a figure whose loyalties and objectives complicate his work, while Paula Castano and Camila Sodi round out a cast of players tied to the city's underworld and the state apparatus. The show runs two seasons of ten episodes each, forming one continuing story rather than standalone cases. Set in contemporary Bogota and the surrounding jungle, it frames the capital's streets, police offices and rural hideouts as places where past armed conflict still shapes present choices. Its tone is tense, gritty and morally weary, with a focus on institutional rot and the cost of compromise. Viewers who enjoy Narcos, Breaking Bad and The Wire will find the same blend of undercover tension, layered corruption and characters caught between competing masters.
