## Synopsis

Don't Start the Murmur (2013-2024) is a Greek national-television comedy series created by Kostas Sousoulas for Alpha TV. Rather than following a single family, it moves through a set of couples aged roughly 20 to 65 who live in separate homes and never share a plotline. Vladimiros Kiriakidis plays Ilias Charamis, one of the principal figures, alongside Eleni Kokkidou as Voula Vlachaki Stratelli and Antonis Antoniou as Minas Stratellis, with Klelia Renesi as Kaiti Kitso Dimitroulopoulou and Maria Chanou as Veli Kandilioti rounding out the recurring faces. The engine of each episode is small and domestic: a disagreement over money, a misunderstanding between partners, the friction of in-laws, or the quiet worry of ageing bodies and shared routines. Because every story stands alone, the show works as a long, self-contained run of compact comedies rather than one continuing arc, and it ran for eleven seasons and roughly 790 episodes of forty-five minutes each. The tone is warm, observational and gently wry, with a comforting familiarity that rewards casual viewing. Fans of Everybody Loves Raymond, Mad About You and Keeping Up Appearances will find the same affectionate eye for marriage and everyday absurdity.
